Party in the Park raises funds for Warwick Historical Society

Join the Warwick Historical Society at Party in the Park on Saturday, Aug. 26, from 6 to 9 p.m., as they celebrate Warwick's artists, past and present.
The society has partnered with local artist Carole Constant who will be exhibiting at the event. Constant's piece, titled "Warwick, New York," has been featured on the invitations, postcards, banners and posters for Party in the Park.
The limited edition print, done in a whimsical style, celebrates life in an area steeped in history and rustic beauty.
It begins with a vista as one comes over Mt. Peter and continues past the falls on Cascade Road to downtown Warwick with its lovely historic buildings.
Beyond that are centuries-old farm houses, barns, apple orchards, fields, cows, horses, all the way to the black dirt district where crops are growing in abundance.
Constant grew up in northern New Jersey, and after marrying, moved to Warwick, where she and her husband built their home and raised their two sons.
A graduate of SUNY New Paltz, Carole worked as a commercial artist and also accepted commissions from private individuals. She is now devoted full time to oil paintings of the Hudson Valley and the Great Southwest. To view Constant's work, visit carolconstant.com.
"Warwick, New York" and other limited edition prints are available for purchase at the Warwick Historical Society. Visit www.whsny.org for more information.
Party in the Park, which takes place in Lewis Park on Main Street, will feature cocktail style dining courtesy of The Landmark Inn, a signature cocktail designed by Black Dirt Distillery, craft beer from Glenmere Brewing Company and homemade desserts. Music will be provided by Soulia and the Sultans.
The event is the historical society's largest fundraiser. Funds raised by this event will support the historical society's mission to preserve and celebrate the history of Warwick and its people.
