Warwick — Two local companies are teaming up to offer a “Parent and Me” American Sign Language class at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, March 27. The class will be held at BiNK Essential Baby Gear, at 22 Railroad Ave in Warwick. Led by Lisa Montanaro of LM Organizing Solutions, the class is open to both parents and their babies or toddlers. Montanaro is a former instructor and interpreter of the New York School for the Deaf. Not only is signing beautiful, but it can be a valuable skill for communicating with young children as well. Flash cards for babies and toddlers, that can be used for practicing sign at home, will be available. The course is free, but space is limited, so registration is required.
