Cornwall — The Museum of the Hudson Highlands is holding its Annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the Museum’s Farmhouse on Route 9W in Cornwall. Come enjoy pancakes, sausage, orange juice, coffee, and real maple syrup. Cost is $6 adults and $4 children (ages 3-10). This year, the breakfast is sponsored by Sotheby’s and proceeds will go toward the Museum’s environmental education programs. All groups larger than 10 must have reservations. The Pancake Breakfast takes place during the time when Educators at the Museum tap the maple trees in the sugarbush for sap. The sap is then evaporated and turned into syrup. The public can see the maple syrup process in action for five weekends at the Maple Sugar Tours on Saturday and Sundays from Feb. 17 until March 18. The tours begin at 11:30 a.m. and end at 3 p.m., at the Museum’s Kenridge Farm location on Route 9W in Cornwall. On Feb. 25, there will be earlier tours for which Pancake Breakfast attendees can purchase tickets if they wish.Tours begin every half-hour and include a 45-minute walk into the sugarbush.
