Highland Mills — Palaia Vineyards & Winery is starting a knitting group at the winery called “Stitch and Bitch” that will meet Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m., beginning Jan. 11. For $5 an evening, participants will receive a glass of wine, beginning knitting instruction and company. Or, you can just bring whatever knitting/crocheting project you are working on and join the group. There will be beginner knitting packages available for sale in a variety of colors if you are just starting out. Anyone 21 and over can join. “Why sit home alone when you can join a group, have a nice glass of wine, and let it all out?” said owner Jan Palaggi. Contact her at winemaker@palaiavineyards.com with any questions. The winery is located at 10 Sweet Clover Road in Highland Mills.
