Pacem in Terris to host concert this Sunday

Warwick Pacem in Terris will present a guitar and violin concert Sunday, Aug. 19, beginning at 5 p.m. The concert marks the return of classical guitarist Scott Jackson Wiley and violinist Robin Zeh. Wiley, who won the honor of the first prize of the Barcelona Conservatory is also a conductor of wide experience. He is Music Director of the South Shore Symphony of Rockville Centre. Wiley’s performances have taken him abroad to Israel, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine and Peru. Zeh was winner of the Concerto Competition at the Mannes College of Music where she won the Concerto Competition. She performs regularly with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s and American Ballet Theatre, and has participated in the summer festivals of Caramoor, Music Festival of the Hamptons, Schleswig-Holstein and Tanglewood. The program will consist of Diego Ortiz, G. F. Handel, Mauro Giuliani, Isaac Albeniz, Niccolo Paganini and Astor Piazzolla. This concert is in honor of Pacem in Terris’s friend Maria Serebrakian, whose family asked that this concert be dedicated to her memory. Pacem in Terris is a not-for-profit organization under the Education Laws of the State of New York, located at 96 Covered Bridge Road, Warwick, No reservations are possible. Tickets go on sale at 4 p.m.. Suggested donation: $10.
