MONROE — On Saturday and Sunday, July 15 and 16, artists who are residents of Orange County will be bringing their work to Museum Village to display, and sell, commission free. Artists will also use the backdrop of the village setting to create new pieces during the weekend. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with exhibits and interpreted buildings open from noon to 4 p.m., rain or shine. To encourage attendance, admission will be free of charge both days. Partial funding is supplied by Orange County Tourism, Orange Arts, and the County of Orange. Formal invitations have been sent to all artists listed on the Orange Arts data base, however, all county-resident artists are invited. There is no fee for the artists, but they are required to register in advance by calling 782-8248. The museum is located on Route 17M, at Exit 129 (Museum Village Road) from Route 17.
