Orange County Arboretum will hold Sept. 11 service
Montgomery - The fifth annual Sept. 11, 2001 Patriot Day Services will be held at the Orange County Arboretum on Monday, Sept. 11, at 5 p.m. The surviving families and friends of the 44 Orange County residents who lost their lives on that day have been invited to join the public in honoring their loved ones. The Ancient Order of Hibernians will lead the survivors along the Remembrance Walkway to the Memorial Garden, which features a 10-foot granite globe rotating around a basin with 44 bronze plaques listing the names of the Orange County residents who died in the terrorist attacks. Brigadier General Dana B. Demand, commander for the 105th Airlift Wing at Newburgh, will be the guest speaker. Further information, call Paula M. Gorton at 845-457-4902.
