Opera company to hold auditions

Blooming Grove — The Opera Company of the Highlands will hold open auditions from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13, and 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16. Auditions will be held, by appointment only, at the United Church of Christ on Route 94 in Blooming Grove. The auditions are for Gaetano Donizetti’s “The Daughter of the Regiment.” Performances are planned during the period of March 3-19, 2006, at locations to be announced at a later date. Individuals should be prepared to sing from an opera or a classical song. An accompanist will be provided and individuals may bring their own pianist. For more information, call 562-5381.
