Open Mic at the Grind
Greenwood Lake Springtime has come to the Hudson Valley. There’s no better time to play in, sing for, or listen to the monthly musical Open Mic at the Greenwood Grind. On Saturday, April 22, the performance will include an evening of original songs from 7 to 10 p.m. at 91 Windermere Avenue in Greenwood Lake. A light dinner will be served. Admission is $5. One of the performers, Bob Barlow, will sing his new song “The Little Things,” which was just selected as an honorable mention winner in the Peacedriven Songwriting Award Contest. In an effort to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina, Barlow wrote “Everything’s Gonna Be Okay,” which he recorded with his fifth-grade students at Pine Tree Elementary School in Monroe. The CD is still available for sale, with all donations going to hurricane victims. For more information, visit www.gonnabeok.com.
