Old Warwick 'Home Movies' digitized

WARWICK — A collaborative project between the Albert Wisner Public Library and the Warwick Historical Society has brought some great old scenes of Warwick into digital format which are now hosted in the Warwick Valley Heritage Digital Collection.
The archive of the historical society had several reels of 16 mm film that had been donated over the years, but no way to view the frail films, so the local history department of the library funded digitizing them.
The movies show:
• A 1932 "grand costume celebration" of the visit of Washington to Baird's Tavern held in 1932;
• A scrap metal drive from World War II; and
• Many "home movies" of the Bradner family from the 1920s and later showing scenes of every day life.
