Old-time Town Fair comes to Warwick in September

    Warwick - Residents of the Town of Warwick are invited to an old-fashioned Town Fair on Sunday, Sept. 3, from 1 to 6 p.m. The fair is sponsored by the Warwick Valley Community Center, Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce and Warwick Valley Rotary Club and will take place, rain or shine, at the Community Center at 11 Hamilton Ave. in the Village of Warwick. Admission is free. The Warwick Town Fair Committee has organized games, contests, demonstrations and entertainment celebrating life in Warwick, past and present. In addition to performances by local musicians, there will be inflatable rides and story-telling for children, a historical presentation by Dr. Richard Hull and a best fruit pie contest. Food and beverages will be available. Community groups interested in participating should contact Tony Houston at 986-6984 for more information. Twenty local organizations such as the Albert Wisner Public Library, Historical Society of the Town of Warwick and Warwick Valley Future Farmers of America have already reserved space. Residents will have the opportunity to learn more about the variety of activities and services these groups offer.
