Old-fashioned Fourth of July at Museum Village

    Monroe — Museum Village will celebrate Independence Day the old-fashioned way from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, and Sunday, July 2, at 1010 Route 17M in Monroe. The village will honor the 4th of July as it has been celebrated in times past. Costumed interpreters will be on hand to demonstrate and talk about life in 19th century rural America. There will be contests, races, music, and crafts for all ages. The fee is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for children, no charge for children three years of age and under. One of New York State’s largest, the living history museum is located four miles west of Interstate 87 Exit 16 in Harriman, and off Route 17 Exit 129 for Museum Village Road.
