Off to the races and down memory lane

The history of Monroe Race Track off Maple Avenue will be the topic of discussion at the Monroe Historical Society’s October meeting this Saturday, Oct. 8, at 9 a.m. at McGarrah’s Inn Historic site, the Masonic Hall at the corner of Maple and Stage roads in the village. Along with a discussion about the history of the track, the program will include historic photographs as well as a walk around the track.
