OCNY Pride Parade is June 10

WARWICK — The Warwick Valley Community Center, with the help of local teen groups, will be part of the OCNY Pride Parade on Sunday, June 10, starting with a free “rainbow” bagel brunch at 11:30 a.m. at the center on Hamilton Avenue.
The parade steps off at 1:30 p.m. and will travel around the village, returning to the Community Center for performances and a magic show, cupcakes and lemonade.
Organizers said free event is a celebration of the LBGTQ community. Friends, family, and advocates are welcome.
Participants are invited to paint banners, decorate floats, and wear body art. There will be local support groups and vendors onsite.
Organizers are looking for people to bring their kazoos, drums, or other musical instruments to use in the parade.
Groups are welcome to march under their own banners.
Anyone wishing to volunteer should call 986-6422.
