OCCC anthropologist give presentation on hiking Machu Picchu

Goshen —Barry Kass, a professor of anthropology at Orange County Community College, will give the presentation “Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu” on Friday, Feb. 16, in the community room of the Goshen Methodist Church, located at 115 Main St. (Enter by the side door on Court Lane. The community room is one flight up and to the right.) Professor Kass has explored the cultures, archaeology, and natural history of the American Southwest, Africa, Central and South America, Europe and Israel. His talk is free and open to the public. It will be given following the monthly meeting of the Incorporated Orange County Chapter of the New York State Archaeological Association, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Kass will lead a trip to Peru from July 13 to 21 in a travel-learn program open to the public. The group will visit museums in Lima and Cusco and participate in a guided tour of Inca sites, including Machu Picchu.
