WARWICK — Come out and support the Warwick Summer Arts Festival at the fourth annual Rock and Bowl fund raiser on Saturday, May 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Pin Street Bowling in Warwick.
Sponsors of the 2018 Rock and Bowl event include Project Knomad and The Rock Underground Music School of Greenwood Lake.
Rock ...The Warwick community is full of talented young musicians and singers, and the Rock and Bowl event places them on stage in true Battle of the Bands style.
These high school-aged bands will battle it out for the top prize - the opportunity to open for the headline act at the Warwick Summer Arts Festival’s music concert and dance event at Scheuermann Farms & Greenhouses in Pine Island on July 28.
The winning musical act will be determined by the general response of the audience.
… and BowlThe evening of fun includes unlimited bowling and shoes, raffles and Lucky Locker prizes from local sponsors.
The Pin Street snack bar and pub will be open for snacking.
Additional activities include the “Lucky Locker” game providing participants’ chances to win one or more prizes that are donated by local businesses and artists.
Keys to lockers will be available for purchase. Each key unlocks one of the 30 prize-filled lockers. Prizes will include a variety of gift certificates, housewares, apparel, electronics and artwork, ranging in value.
Get your tickets early to reserve lanes! Rock and Bowl admission is $20 per person ages 7 and older; $14 per person ages 6 and under.
Do you rock?The Warwick Summer Arts Festival strives to foster a thriving music and art scene in the Orange County community. The musical youth of Warwick and surrounding areas have the opportunity to be heard by their community when they battle it out against each other on the stage.
The Rock and Bowl Battle of the Bands is now accepting applications. To register to compete, contestants must send their band name, photo of band, a brief bio including music style and band member names to: projectknomad@gmail.com.
