Musical change of command at West Point

WEST POINT-The United States Military Academy Concert Band will present a performance at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, in the Eisenhower Hall Theatre at West Point. The free concert will feature the band under the direction of both Col. Thomas Rotondi, Jr. and Maj. Timothy J. Holtan. The performance will serves as the change of command ceremony for the U.S. Military Academy Band. For his final selection as commander and conductor of the band, Col. Rotondi will conduct "A Slavic Farewell," by Vasilij Agapkin. Following a brief ceremony, Maj. Holtan will assume command of the band and will lead the group through the rest of the concert. Visitors should allow extra time for identification checks at the West Point gates.
