Music at Mount Saint Mary

    NEWBURGH —Mount Saint Mary College presents music from the 1930s, 40s and 50s at the Desmond Campus, 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 6. The show features the Heartstrings, the acoustic piano and vocal duo Rich Flanders and Kathy Lawrence, Trained at San Francisco State College and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, Flanders appeared on Broadway in the long-running musical, Shenandoah, and toured in the First National Company production of Annie. Lawrence, who sang opera in the 1990s, will perform ballads and show tunes of the era. Admission: $5 per person, children under 12 are free. Rain site: Hudson Hall Auditorium on MSMC’s main campus.
