Museum Village offers old-fashioned fun throughout August
MONROE - Museum Village will hold a weekend highlighting 19th century games from 12 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12 and Sunday, Aug. 31. This yearly event is for both children and adults. Play with hoops, skittles and marbles. Walk on stilts, make a unique craft or enjoy the exhibits and the tree-lined village green. The museum exhibit buildings will be open and interpretive staff will be on hand. The Museum Snack Bar and JC Merritt General Store will also be open. Special weekend rates: $10 adults, $6 Seniors and $5 for children from four to 15 years of age. Children under 4 years of age are admitted free of charge. Museum Village membership privileges apply to this event. Museum Village is one of New York State’s largest living history museums and is located four miles west of the New York State Thruway Exit 16 (Harriman), and directly off Route 17 at Exit 129 (Museum Village Road).
