MONROE — Museum Village in Monroe, which maintains a vast collection of eclectic, 19 century artifacts for educational purposes, will host its fourth annual Girl Scout Days, with workshops for Hudson Valley girl scouts to explore history and discover historic handcrafts. On Saturday, April 5, museum staff and volunteers will lead Junior Girl Scouts on their ceramics and clay badge, helping them to learn about historic and modern wheels and kilns, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each girl will make a pot or tile to bring home and will experiment with glazes on a piece that will become a part of the museum collection. The following Saturday, April 12, the museum will offer brownies the opportunity to earn their “listening to the past” badge, with historic games, storytelling and a visit to the log cabin from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $10 per person and includes all supplies. One adult for every five children attends free. There is limited access to museum buildings during Girl Scout Days. Early registration is suggested, with a $25 deposit per troop.
