Museum Village hosts spring social next Tuesday evening

MONROE Museum Village will hold its first annual spring social on Tuesday, May 8, at Catlin Gardens in Slate Hill from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
This fund raiser, set to be one of the museums premier events, is to benefit Museum Villages Educational Programming for both children and adults.
Friends and associates will have the opportunity to mix, meet and mingle with five counties chambers and local networking groups. There will be musical entertainment, an array of hors doeuvres, a cash bar and a silent auction featuring many items including art and samplings from area businesses.
Tickets for the social are $45 when reserved in advance or $55 at the door. For more information, or to book your attendance, call the museum at 845-782-8248 or e-mail Michael Sosler at msosler@museumvillage.org.
Norwegian Cruise Line is a major sponsor for this event.
Museum Village is a living history museum preserving a vast collection of eclectic, 19th century artifacts for educational purposes. Using these artifacts and reproductions, we provide hands-on experiences and exhibits illustrating the transition from a rural to an industrial culture and economy in America, provoking thought and discussion about history.
