Monroe — Museum Village will be decorated and lit with a warm winter glow from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, and from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4. Santa Claus will be on hand to speak with children and adults. According to museum staffers, he can’t wait to hear everyone’s holiday wishes, so visitors are encouraged to bring a camera. The Merritt General Store will offer unique holiday gifts for sale, while the Snack Bar will offer hot chocolate and other snacks. Holiday music will fill the air, and there will be entertainment and crafts for the children. Admission for non-members is $8 for adults, $5 for children four to 15 years of age, and free for children under four years of age. Museum members will be admitted free of charge to this event. Museum Village, one of New York State’s largest living history museums, is located four miles west of Interstate 87 Exit 16 in Harriman, directly off Route 17 Exit 129 at Museum Village Road.
