Museum to host craft boutique on Nov. 25

Cuddebackville The Neversink Valley Area Museum is jumping into the holiday spirit by hosting the “Last Stop Shop Holiday Craft Boutique” on Sunday, Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Handcrafted items by local artisans including home décor, folk art and primitive painting, handmade candles and soaps, stitchery, knit fashions, paper art, holiday items, wreaths, and tree ornaments will be presented in a boutique setting, with many items selling for less than $5. The crafters are generously donating a portion of their proceeds to the museum. In addition to the annual craft fair, the museum is creating a version of a traditional European style Holiday Village and will include “booths” where one can buy gifts from the museum’s shop, refreshments like eggnog, hot cider, cocoa and fresh baked goods and poinsettias, which are being donated to the museum by their good friends at Wessel’s Farms of Otisville. As an added treat, Santa Claus will be stopping by and will be available for pictures for the young and young-at-heart. There will also be a raffle of a gift basket. The Craft Fair and Holiday Village will be held at the D and H Canal Park Visitor’s Center, 58 Hoag Road, (just off Route 209) Cuddebackville.
