Museum presents Boscobel story

Cornwall Join the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum on Thursday, Jan. 10, at 7:30 p.m., at Painter’s Tavern, 266 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, for an evening speakers series: The Boscobel Story. Geoffrey Platt Jr., the executive director of Boscobel Restoration, Inc. will tell the tale of Boscobel, the house museum of the Federal Period, located in Garrison which was saved to become one of the premier historic sites in the Hudson Valley. It is a dramatic story of rescue, generosity, strong stewardship and the commitment of two women: Elizabeth Dyckman (1776-1823) and Lila Acheson Wallace (1889-1984). Limited Seating.
