Museum launches Discovery Quest
Cornwall The Museum of the Hudson Highlands will begin a brand new program, called Discovery Quests, starting Saturday, June 16. The quests will be offered every Saturday and Sunday through October 31, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., at the Kenridge Farm location, Route 9W, Cornwall. The quests are a way for people of all ages to take a “nature break” and get out on the trails to activate the senses and stretch the mind and body. Participants can choose their own adventure: The Pond Quest (30-45 minutes), The Field Quest (30-45 minutes), The Woodland Quest (30-45 minutes), or The Hiking Quest (1-2 hours). Ranging from a casual stroll around the wetlands to a challenging hike through the upland forest, the quest trails feature terrain which varies in difficulty, from a casual stroll through the wetlands, to the more challenging climbs of the forested slopes. Day passes are $3 and include same-day admission to the Boulevard location. Day passes are free for members. Quest Guidebooks are $5 per trail. Reservations for the quests are requested. Call 845-534-5506 ext. 204 for information and reservations. Visit the Web site at www.museumhudsonhighlands.org.
