Muddy Water Players hosting theater workshop

MONROE — Creative Theatre - Muddy Water Players is once again hosting a popular theater workshop titled “Acting Boot Camp,” Jan. 16 through 18.

The workshop is designed for both beginning and seasoned performers ages 16 and older. The event will take place at The Playhouse at Museum Village on Route 17M in Monroe.

This exciting concentrated opportunity to hone your acting skills and have some theatrical fun will be led by Terri Weiss.

The Friday evening session will focus on auditioning tips and exercises along with getting to know your scene partners. Saturday afternoon highlights developing a character – learning how to read a scene, work with a partner, objectives and tactics. Sunday afternoon covers incorporating the physical - body, actions, reactions, listening, and final performance.

Creative Theatre - Muddy Water Players is a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting the performing arts in Orange County. The company operates The Playhouse at Museum Village, presenting a season of performances from May to November.
