Mt. Peter to hold annual ski and swap sale this weekend
Warwick Fall is finally here, which means it is time for Mount Peter’s Great American Ski and Swap Sale, the weekend of Oct. 20 and 21. As always, Ski Barn of Paramus will be stuffing the lodge with bargains on equipment, clothing and accessories, on both days, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shoppers are advised to come early for the best deals. The swap will be held on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Items intended for sale should be dropped off on Oct. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., or Oct. 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The swap is run by the Mount Peter volunteer patrol, and serves as a fund-raiser for them. There is a $2 fee per item dropped off, and the patrol tries to sell it. The patrol charges a 20 percent commission on each sale. Unsold equipment and checks can be picked up between 3 and 5 p.m. on Sunday. Any funds not collected will be considered a very kind donation to the patrol. On Oct. 28, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Ski Barn will hold an after-sale sale, with even greater discounts on what did not sell. For more information, visit www.mtpeter.com, or call 986-4940.
