Mother and Daughter duo featured at harp and piano concert

Brent Norton will accompany them on drums and John Riggio, on electric bass. The concert will feature compositions chosen from the classical, sacred, Celtic, and jazz traditions. “This is all music to capture the imagination.” Cherwyn said. “One thing all the pieces have in common is that they provide a visual image to carry in the mind while listening” “We’ll be doing “The Pink Panther,” Mozart’s “Twinkle, Twinkle” Variations, some jazz by Miles Davis and David Benoit and “Maple Leaf Rag” by Scott Joplin.” said Cherwyn. “We’ll also play an Argentinan dance by Ginastera, “The White Peacock” by Charles Griffes (his most famous piece - he was “the American Debussy”), a work from “Magic Flute,” a piece that is very similar to “Riverdance” music.
