Teens who recently completed a babysitting certification program from the Orange County Child Care Council will be available to meet and greet in the children’s room during the evening. Interview them and find the perfect sitter for your child. During the evening, parents may drop their children off to view Looney Toons movies on the big screen in the children’s room. Popcorn and refreshments will be provided. The babysitters have volunteered to watch the children while adults browse the book sale, check out new releases and enjoy the free energy healing. On Saturday, Jan. 13, the book sale for the general public will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Prices range from 50 cents for children’s books, paperbacks and videotapes to $1 for DVDs, CDs and hardcover books. The audience is encouraged to participate with their own stories and to bring along any historical Florida artifact to share. From 1 to 3 p.m., the library welcomes back local antiques expert John Fish. Patrons may have Fish appraise their treasured objects at a cost of $5 or $10 for three. Fish will donate all the proceeds to the library for upcoming programs and purchases.
