Momsense' offers comic insights on motherhood

Warwick Four women wrote a comedic cabaret-style show about the trials and tribulations of motherhood, called “Momsense.” The four, Dana Covey, Amy Mandelbaum, Lisa Golden, and Harriet Berkowitz, started performing the musical comedy at a mid-town club, invited friends to attend, and donated the proceeds to charity. The show struck a chord with audiences, and is now being performed across the tri-state area as a charity fundraising vehicle. To date, the comedy has raised over $350,000 dollars for a variety of charities, most benefiting children. “Momsense” will be presented at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 5, at the Warwick Valley High School auditorium, to benefit Winslow Therapeutic Center and the Future Farmers of America. Doors will open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance, or $25 at the door. For more information, call 845-986-6686.
