Mike Jackson will play at Jazz Festival

Goshen Jazz guitarist and Warwick resident Mike Jackson is one of the featured performers at the 3rd annual Goshen Jazz Festival on Sat., Sept.16. The jazz festival is sponsored by the Goshen Rotary Club and is held in honor of legendary jazz pianist Willie “The Lion” Smith, who was born in Goshen in 1897. Funds raised at the festival are earmarked for the Goshen Rotary Club Scholarship Fund. The festival is an all-day affair with performances throughout the day at different venues in Goshen, plus a late-afternoon outdoor Concert on The Green, and an evening performance on the main stage at the Historic Track. Jackson will perform with his trio at Maureen Mullany’s Pub on Main Street in downtown Goshen from 1 to 4 p.m. He will be joined by keyboardist Rave Tesar and drummer/percussionist Bill Tesar.
