Mental health advocates to be honored

    Middletown — The Frank W. Masterson Memorial Banquet and Jeanne E. Jonas Professional Development Symposium will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the Kuhl’s Highland House in Middletown. The event is being organized by the Masterson steering committee, a collaboration of Orange County Department of Mental Health, Orange Regional Medical Center’s Arden Hill Campus and Mental Health Association in Orange County. Frank LaRosa, director of mental health services at Orange County Department of Mental Health, and Dennis Greenwald, a lifelong community advocate and supporter of mental hygiene services, will be honored with the Frank W. Masterson Distinguished Service Award for their many years of service in Orange County. The Jeanne E. Jonas Professional Development Symposium will present “Working with Survivors of Sexual and Psychological Trauma.” The fee is $25 per person.
