— With the holiday season coming up, it is important for us to step back and realize all of the good fortune in our lives. It is time to give back to the people in the community who are less fortunate. The Chabad of Orange County is hosting a Hanukkah “Menorah of Giving” on Sunday, Dec. 1 at the Galleria at Crystal Run in Middletown at 4 p.m. outside of Dick's Sporting Goods.

The menorah will be accompanied by Jewish crafts, games, music, doughnuts, latkehs and even Judaica gifts. All are welcome to attend. The menorah will be made from all donated cans and then will be donated to help prevent hunger this holiday season.

“All the cans the Chabad has already received by the people in this community is heartwarming,” said Rabbi Borenstein.

Borenstein and his wife, Rivkie, want the donation to be accessible to all, so everyone can help out. Cans may be donated outside of the Chabad which is located on 12 North Church St. in Goshen, or go on Chabadorangecounty.com and donate money to help the cause.
