Meditation classes in Goshen

Goshen — The Kadampa Meditation Center will soon offer a new series of meditation classes in Goshen. Buddhist teachings say suffering is caused by uncontrolled and painful states of mind known as delusions. Each week the class will focus on a particular delusion — among them anger, desirous attachment, deluded pride, jealousy, miserliness, and low self-esteem. Buddhist teacher Rebecca Rehorn will impart practical methods to reduce the power of delusions. Classes will be held at 224 Main Street (blue building near Harness Museum) on Mondays, 7 to 8:30 p.m., from Aug. 15 through Sept. 19 (no class Sept. 5) and Oct. 17 - Dec. 12 (no class Nov. 21). Cost is $10, or $5 for seniors and students. For more information visit www.kadampanewyork.org or call 856-9000.
