Make music and friends at Great American Weekend

Goshen — At Great American Weekend, the music never stops. A full slate entertainment at the monument has been scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday, July 2 and 3. Please see schedule for more details. A 5K and 10K Rotary road race will be held Saturday morning. The Goshen Historic Track offers racing from Friday through Monday, with the post-time each day at 1 p.m. Hall of Fame Day is Sunday, July 3. Children’s rides start Friday evening, July 1, and continue on Saturday and Sunday. Goshen In Bloom is sponsoring hayrides. To allow for set up, the Friday Farmers’ Market will be relocated to the front lawn of the Orange County Government Building on July 1. Support for the event, sponsored by the Goshen Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Goshen, has come from many local businesses and individuals. Major supporters are: Diamond: Shoprite; Platinum: Crystal Run Healthcare, Gerard Associates, Glen Arden, The Berkshire Bank; Gold: Hudson Valley Ears Nose & Throat, Blustein Shapiro Rich & Barone LLP, and Interstate Waste. Visitors can browse more than 150 tents featuring artisans, local merchants, antiques sellers, food vendors, and local not-for-profits. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
