MAHWAH, N.J. — On Thursday, Dec. 10, Lou Pallo, longtime friend of Les Paul, will give a lecture about Paul’s unique contribution to American music at the Ramapo Reformed Church, 100 Island Road in Mahwah, N.J.

A founding member of the Les Paul Trio, Pallo and Paul met in 1963. Pallo is credited for bringing Paul out of retirement, and together they performed and recorded for many years.

They played together weekly at Fat Tuesdays and the Iridium in New York City and their relationship, both personal and professional, continued until Paul’s death in 2009.

As a tribute to his good friend, Pallo recently spearheaded the documentary and album, "Thank You, Les: A Tribute to Les Paul," which features Pallo, Bucky Pizzarelli and many other music legends; most of them were mentored and encouraged by Paul.
