Sugar Loaf — Illusionists Jonathan and Charlotte Pendragon will bring their logic-defying magic to the Lycian Centre in Sugar Loaf on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. The Pendragons have been performing together for nearly 30 years, winning inclusion in the Guinness Book of World Records for their split-second illusion dubbed “Metamorphosis.” Jonathan Pendragon is one of only five contemporary performers named in Magic Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Magicians of All Time, while Charlotte Pendragon was the first woman ever to receive the Magician of the Year Award. Their show, “The Ghosts of Broadway,” takes its inspiration from the world of the stage, where things often go bump in the night, along with the idea that some theaters may be haunted by real ghosts. The show brings to life some of Broadway’s classic shows, such as “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Cyrano de Bergerac,” and “Jekyll and Hyde” through magic and illusion. Tickets are $32 for adults and $24 for youth (18 years and younger). For more information or reservations, call the Lycian Centre box office at 469-2287 Tuesday through Saturday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. About us: Lycian Centre for the Performing Arts is an equity theatre committed to bringing professional cultural events to the Mid-Hudson region.
