M-W softball league to host dinner dance

MONROE - The Hank Werner Memorial Scholarship Dinner Dance will be held on March 24 at the Inn at Central Valley. Tickets are available at the following locations: Valley Auto Repair, Route 32 and Smith Clove Road, across from the MW Education Center, and Eydie Lopez RE/MAX BENCHMARK, 95-1 Maher Lane, located in the Old Glory Mall in Harriman. Those interested in attending can also call Cassie at 973-809-4068. Cost is $50.00 per person. Please be advised that children are not allowed to attend this event. On March 25, the Monroe Woodbury Girls’ Softball League will provide a free coaching clinic, 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Frozen Ropes in Chester. Those who wish to coach or manage should take advantage of this opportunity to learn how to teach basic skills, run drills and run an effective team practice.
