Local musician to conduct Hong Kong music camp

Huadong Lu, a Harriman resident, has been invited by the Hong Kong government, along with other premium conductors from the United States and Europe, to serve as conductor of their summer youth orchestra camp. Lu is the music director and conductor of the New York Southern Hudson Valley Youth Symphony. He will conduct works by Mendelssohn and Britten in the orchestra camp, which starts on July 14 and ends with a concert in one of the grand concert halls in Hong Kong on July 19.
