Newburgh — “Building Way of Hope and Unity,” a celebration of faith and family, will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Parish in Newburgh, on Saturday, Nov. 24. The celebration is part of “Through Faith we Grow,” the Hispanic Celebration of the Bicentennial of the Archdiocese of New York. For the past year, a regional committee of priests and others who minister to the hispanic population here in Orange and the surrounding counties, have been preparing for the celebration. Father Juan Diaz Vilar will be accompanied by Angela Sandoval of Mexico, also known as Ge’La, and Evelyn Moran of the Dominican Republic. Both Sandoval and Moran are well known for their musical talent and spiritual compositions in the Hispanic community. Ethnic foods from many expressions of the Hispanic culture will be served.
