Local fossils sought
| 23 Apr 2012 | 04:30

The Albert Wisner Public Library is looking for examples of locally found fossils to include in an exhibit on Warwick prehistoric life this summer. Do you have one you can loan or that can be photographed for the show? Contact Sue Gardner at 987-1047 ext. 3 or e-mail sgardner@rcls.org. This photo shows the New York State fossil Euripterus or Sea Scorpion. It was a predator of the Silurian era that measured from about 5 to 9 inches up to 4.3 feet.
