Local actress has lead role in upcoming TV series episode

    Emma Delia, the daughter of Warwick residents Lisa and Ed Delia, has been working as a professional actress since the 8th grade. And that wasnþÄôt very long ago. She graduated from Warwick Valley High School in 2012. Nevertheless Delia is off to a promising fast start in her acting career. On April 8, the Discovery ID television series, REDRUM, will air an episode at 9 p.m. in which Delia plays the lead role as Marie Robards, a teen age murderer.

WARWICK — Emma Delia, the daughter of Warwick residents Lisa and Ed Delia, has been working as a professional actress since the 8th grade. And that wasn't very long ago. She graduated from Warwick Valley High School in 2012.

Nevertheless, Delia is off to a promising fast start in her acting career.

On April 8, the Discovery ID television series, REDRUM, will air an episode at 9 p.m. in which Delia plays the lead role as Marie Robards, a teen age murderer.

In the new series, now in Season 2, REDRUM, viewers follow the backwards tale of murder from false motives and mistaken witnesses to conversations taken completely out of context, until the truth finally comes out at the very end.

Love of theater
Warwick residents can view the show several times during the month of April on Cablevision Channel 171.

"I started with a love for theater and that has expanded into TV and film," said Delia.

"My first lead in a TV show was 'Most Likely To,' also on Discovery ID. And I just finished shooting the pilot episode for a new show on A&E called 'Seance.' I was cast in the lead role and that should be coming out sometime in the fall."

Delia, who recently moved to New York City, was raised in Warwick along with her brother Albee, a film major at SUNY Purchase, and Danny, a senior in Warwick Valley High School who plans to join the Air Force.

Delia studied acting under Paul Ellis, the producer/director of the Air Pirates Radio Theater.

"I was recently cast in the Air Pirate Radio show which is in its 8th season here in the Hudson Valley," she said. "So I commute back home for rehearsals. Our first performance of the season will be April 12 at Brothers BBQ in New Windsor and it can also be heard on the radio. My future plans involve someday living in an apartment with an elevator, continuing to avoid being struck by taxis, and ordering as much Chipotle as I can handle."
