Live show to honor legendary educator

Middletown — The annual memorial ceremony honoring legendary educator William A. Carter, and his family, his life, and his work, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Paramount Theater, 17 South St., Middletown. A presentation of awards in education, community service and athletics will also be held. A live show will start at 3 p.m. featuring Ray, Goodman & Brown (formerly the Moments) and the jazz fusion ensemble Center Search Quest, and gospel singers 2nd Baptist Male Choir. Center Search Quest includes bass player Christopher Dean Sullivan, pianist/vocalist Mala Waldron, percussionist Michael TA Thompson, and two-time Grammy-nominated vocalist Angel Rose.
