Warwick - The Friends of the Albert Wisner Public Library will host their fourth annual “Moonlight over Warwick” Gala on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m. at the Hickory Hill Golf Club, Route 17A, Warwick. The cocktail party will feature a variety of hors d’oeuvres, a hearty carving station, a pasta station, moonlight dancing, a silent auction, “Chair-ish” Our Library live auction and desserts. The Loose Caboose will provide the musical entertainment for the evening. There will be a special thank you and presentation to Warwick Grove and Leyland Alliance for the gift of the property for the new library building. The highlight of the evening will be the “Chair-ish” Our Library auction of 14 library chairs beautifully decorated by local artists. To preview the chairs take a walk down Main Street in the Village of Warwick where these unique library chairs will be on display in shop windows from Oct. 13 until the Gala. This year the silent auction includes an eclectic mix of items including a weeklong getaway at a beach cottage, original art and sculpture, Metropolitan Opera tickets, autographed books, autographed sports memorabilia, jewelry and antiques. Tickets are available at the library for $45 per person. For more information or if you are interested in donating an auction item, call Colleen Larsen at 986-7101 or Mary Hennel at 988-0256.
