WARWICK — On Sunday, June 25, at 1 p.m., Albert Wisner Public Library will present a screening of "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy."
Featuring Rolling Stone and BBC reporter Greg Palast, the film goes undercover to unmask billionaires and ballot bandits financing and conspiring to restrict the voting rights of many Americans.
Palast and his associates expose the darkest plans of the uber-rich to steal America’s democracy.
This real life detective story is told in a film noir style with cartoon animations, secret documents, hidden cameras and a little help from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit detectives Ice-T and Richard Belzer, Shailene Woodley, Rosario Dawson, Willie Nelson and Ed Asner.
Following the screening, Warwick resident Elena Valentino will lead a discussion of the film and recent proposed changes to the New York State election laws
