Library to host local playwright's 'The Neverland Plays' on Jan. 4

WARWICK — The Albert Wisner Public Library will present "The Neverland Plays" by local playwright Sydney Helen Egan on Friday, Jan. 4, at 6 p.m. in the library’s Community Room.
"The Neverland Plays" is a trilogy play following Peter Pan as he journeys through different parts of growing up that are more difficult to endure.
However, with the help of his new friend, Jane, he is able to overcome many obstacles.
While this play is based on JM Barrie’s story, it has some mature themes that Egan believes should be explored. These themes include mental health, grief, love, change and more.
The play stars Sydney Helen Egan (Jane); Ian Dominguez-Ball (Peter Pan); Haley Gould (Tink, Sylvia, Mrs. Walker); Margaret DeLucia (Slightly, John, Olivia); Hayley St. James (Nibs, George, Mary); Jennifer Ann Ruskowski (Don’t Ask, Michael, Molly); and other college students.
Egan was born and raised in Warwick. She graduated from Warwick Valley High School in 2016 and is currently studying playwriting at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, which is where she began writing "The Neverland Plays. "
