Library hosts programs on business, health, history and art during October

    WARWICK — Albert Wisner Public Library is offering the following programs during October:
    Launch your business without going broke
    Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 6:30 p.m.
    This presentation will help you get started on the right foot and will help keep your expectations in line with the realities of the marketplace.
    From writing business models to understanding global sales and relationships, Peter Hall will cover it all.
    Hall is a graduate of Marquette University and has an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He has an extensive resume in cooperate marketing. As creative director of marketing for a digital marketing agency and for the Incubation, Commercialization, and Acceleration Network of NY (iCANny.net), Hall helps communities grow by improving their visibility through website design, traditional print media, and other marketing solutions.
    Nourishing your body, mind and skin: balancing your pH
    Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 6:30 p.m.
    Did you know that what you eat and think about and what you spray and slather on your skin affects your body’s pH?
    Learn, share and have fun as you discover how to nurture your pH from the inside out. Bring your questions. Get inspired to make the changes you or your family need to feel and look your best. Babysitting is available upon request.
    Presented by Celeste McAteer, functional medicine practitioner/health coach, and Linda Johnston, aesthetician/skin-care.
    Princess Diana and Princess Kate: The relevance of the monarchy in the 21st Century
    Thursday Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m.
    Linda Blake provides an in-depth review of the lives of Diana and Kate and their roles in the modern monarchy.
    Create an homage to Cezanne
    Saturday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m.
    Paul Cezanne was a French Post-Impressionist painter. He is considered the “father of modern art” because of his influential use of color and form.
    With Cezanne’s “Trois Poires” as a model, local artist Diane Ouzoonian will lead the class through watercolor techniques to create a lovely still life.
