Warwick - Local artist and Warwick Valley School District art teacher Nicole Sisco Heller will lead a program on different printmaking techniques for young people between 12 and 18 on Saturday, May 3, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Albert Wisner Public Library. Heller will talk about traditional printmaking, beginning with Japanese printing, and also will discuss pop art with the ease of making multiples. Participants will experiment with monotype, learn about numbering prints in a series and create artists’ proofs. They will also discuss colors and how to create colors in a creative composition on paper. The results of this workshop will be a variety of works for participants to take home and keep. The program is free and registration is required. Call the Library reference desk at 986-1047, ext. 3 to register.
