Library friends to sponsor Meet the Authors' luncheon
Goshen The Friends of the Moffat Library, in Washingtonville, are sponsoring a “Meet the Authors” luncheon, on May 6, featuring Frank Gilroy, Beth Quinn, Richard Cain, Valerie Palmer, and Debra Severs. The luncheon will be held at Il Limocello restaurant in Goshen. The purpose of this event is to raise money to support special activities at the library, and to give the community an opportunity to meet local authors. After the speakers and the luncheon, the authors will be available to sign their books. Frank Gilroy is a playwright, screenwriter and Pulitzer Prize winner. His plays include “The Subject Was Roses,” “Turning Point,” and “The Fastest Gun.” Beth Quinn, a Times Herald-Record columnist, is the author of “Unleashed: The Collected Dog Columns.” Richard Cain is the author of “Eleanor Roosevelt’s Valkill.” Valerie Palmer and Debra Severs, mystery writers, are the authors of “Colette’s Prayer.” The luncheon will begin at 1 p.m. Tickets are $22.
