Library expands free pass program to museums, gardens and exhibits GREENWOOD LAKE. Empire Parking Passes have now been added to the list of Free Family Fun Passes available to patrons of the Greenwood Lake Public Library.

The Greenwood Lake Public Library has added Empire Parking passes to its list of free family fun passes available to resident patrons.
The Empire pass provides unlimited day-use for vehicle entry to most facilities operated by New York State Parks and the State Department of Environmental Conservation, including forests, beaches, trails and more.
Where else
The library's collection of passes includes:
• The American Museum of Natural History;
• Brooklyn Botanic Garden;
• Frick Collection;
• Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum Complex;
• Motorcyclopedia (250 Lake St, Newburgh);
• Museum at Bethel Woods (200 Hurd Road, Bethel);
• Paley Center for Media; and
• Storm King Art Center (1 Museum Road, New Windsor, NY).
The Intrepid package includes admission for six people to the museum itself as well as the Space Shuttle Pavillion. The Space Shuttle Pavilion showcases the space shuttle Enterprise, the prototype NASA orbiter that paved the way for the space shuttle program.
• Free daily passes also are available to resident patrons to Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park, 7 Windermere Ave. in Greenwood Lake.
The rules
Rules for check-out apply for all:
• Photo ID and Greenwood Lake library card required;
• Three-day loan period ($10 overdue late fee per pass per day); and
• No renewals or reservations (and patrons must come in person to checkout).
Patrons may borrow beach passes multiple times; however, they must wait a month between each checkout.
The Liberty Science Center continues to offer a three percent discount per library patron (or a 10 percent off the purchase of a household membership) by presenting library card at the box office.
